A new wildfire dispatch center for Arizona wildfires is being designed, constructed, and installed by Modular Solutions.  Wildfires are problematic in Arizona all year and this new center will help centralize resources and command communication.   The new dispatch center being constructed by Modular Solutions will enable a centralized monitoring of all wildfires in Arizona.  Great news story on AZ family- follow LINK to story.

State officials participated in the ground breaking this week.  The new center is expected to be operational by October 2025.   The new centralized hub will be near I-17 and Pinnacle Peak Road in Phoenix.   Last year Arizona experienced over 2300 wildfires.  This centralized dispatch location will help inter-agencies communicate and fight those fires in the more efficient manner.  This group will mobilize intelligence, ground crews, aircraft, and communicate with community.  This center will allow the coordination efforts to occur in the same place at the same time.

The building is prefabricated off-site and will be delivered in multiple sections to the site while the site work is being completed.  By choosing prefabricated permanent construction and cooperative procurement methods the agency was able to expedite their occupancy schedule by months.  Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management will operate the new dispatch center.

There are some great design elements included in this project.  The passive solar will allow natural lighting with little heat gain.  All of the appliances and mechanical systems are energy star rated for maximum efficiency.  The architectural design includes modern mixed materials that are native to the southwest for local sourcing.  Modular Solutions is a minority owned small business located in Phoenix Arizona.  Modular Solutions has been providing prefabricated structures across Arizona and the greater southwest since 1996.
